Adventures Beyond the Northwest 01.03.07
Since winter in the Northwest places limitations on outdoor adventure travel (at least to the mountains), I’ll periodically post up interesting subjects I find during my Internet surfing adventures. If you find something of interest, feel free to email the information to be included here.
Nissan Frontier Build.
Take a trip over to expeditionportal.com where you can follow Mark Stephens as he builds his 2005 Nissan Frontier. He details the installation of an expedition water system, a roof-top tents over the bed, suspension, tires and much more. Great ideas that you use on your own truck.
Dakar 2007.
One of most difficult and exotic international motorsports event is about to begin. On January 6, 2007 – teams from around the world will drive nearly 5000 miles in 15 days through 6 countries, including Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Mauritania, Mali and Senegal. Registration includes 250 motorcycles, 187 cars, and 88 trucks. We don’t receive much coverage in the US, but you can see recaps on television on the Versus channel. For more details, the official race web site is Lisboa Dakar 2007.
