Backroad Drivers Northwest is a Yahoo Group consisting of Pacific Northwest folks who enjoy exploring the back roads of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, British Columbia and beyond. We are not a club and we have no dues or fees.
We post notices of upcoming road trips, write trip reports about our adventures and discuss various backroad related topics, but most of all we enjoy participating in group driving tours. We are proud to have been involved in at least one road trip each month since the group started in 1998.
Our interests lie in all northwest backroads; paved, gravel and dirt roads; mountain, farm and desert roads; Forest Service, BLM and DNR roads; as well as occasional 4×4 trails. Our adventures are varied, including scenic drives with stops at natural features, ghost towns, historic sites, museums and other interesting places to more intense driving in remote areas. We drive an assortment of vehicles of which SUV’s are most common.
