Default coastal dirt-bag location suggestions?

Hi'yall

looking for some beta on squatter locations near the coast, I'm sick of fees and red tape, and looking over my shoulder when I'm camping/drinking beers in questionablely legal car-camp locations. (I'm not so worried about the legality - as I am about the presance, and enforcemant. ie- I don't care if your suggestions are bandito, as probally they would be, presance/enforcment is the primary issue.)
I'm particularly interested in the San Juan Whidbey Island areas. I know the cops up around the Bellingham area hunt dirt-bags like rednecks hunt boars and deer, and they got lots'O'tags. One has to go way way inland near the town of Glacier to find suitable dirt-bagging ground. I suppose that my yearning for a location that Is car-camp-compatible limits my possibilities -- I'm sure backpack dirtbaging would be relatively easy on the coast -- but I'm a sophistimicated dirt-bag with one of em vehicemals. Again I am respectful of land and people. I'd sure appreciate any tips leading to a pleasant area to hang out for a week or so, with a view, few-cops; possibly fire pit - etc...

btw -- my vehicaml is not 4wd, which I'm sure further reduces my chances of finding my shangrila.

Thanks

d

Nobody likes paying fees, including me. The main reason they instituted a fee in the first place is because disrespectful, irresponsible users dumped garbage and left their campsites looking like pigpens. Now the rest of us are burdened to pay for cleaning it up. My advise is to pay the fee - I won't ask you to pay my share if you don't ask me to pay yours.

soggymountain - thank you very much for your words - I salute you, and your honorable and law abiding pose. I however will not pay a fine. I have lived in my vehicle for over 7 years now. As I have mentioned I become irritated when I have to pay to enjoy beautiful areas, and the few times I do pay something feels off - kinda like paying for sex - it's not the same. I could go off on a whole preachy shpeal about my adamant view on fees for our lands. I will spare you and other readers, and just agree to disagree.
Nothing pisses me off more than people trashing the land, as you know there are pieces of crap out there who wallow in their own ugly world and drag it to wherever they go, smearing $%$ stains on whatever/whoever is unfortanute enough to cross paths. There are also stupid kids out there - I was a stupid kid once.
These disrespectful people have ruined it for many of us, I refuse to give in to it. I may have sponed this attitude haveing spent considerable time all over the rockies, enjoying public lands and dirtbaging the way they were meant to be enjoyed. All the red tape brings a tear to my eye in the NW, considering the expanse of bueaty out there - it is perhaps the greatest flaw of the region. I try and do my part to clean up other peoples trash, sometimes filling multiple garbage bags, and I am deeply saddend to see gated roads with piles of garbage by the gates. Harsher dumping and littering penalties are in my opinion the answer, includeing inforcment the morning after a party - Instead of making everyone fork over money. Soggymountain - I don't know, or care to know your financial situation, mine is dismal at the moment, eating, gas, and keeping my truck running take MORE than my current buget. So go ahead and pay your fees, I suppose I am like the lone wolf - standing high and proud on a splendid ridge - watching broken spirted sheep being hearded into dirty pastures from afar. Suggestions for places where a dirtbag like me can find peace are still welcome.

thanks

Anything by the coast would be difficult.

Once the snow melts, there are plenty of places in mountains you could find solitude. Primitive campsites are everywhere. Usually there are only restrictions on how log you can stay in location. Move on a regular basis and the chances of getting hassled are less.
