| Sorry about the short notice. Details were just finalized last night. I received this Via Ray from Edgewood. In Rays words, here are the details for Friday's trip: ---------------------------------------------------- For the Wynoochee/Skokomish trip on Friday April 4th, I figured we could meet in Montesano around 9:30. This is about 90 minutes from Tacoma. Take the Montesano exit and at the stop sign go straight across Main Street into the Monte Square Food Mart. This would be a good place to get fuel and coffee as there will be no places to stop until we hit the Shelton area later in the day. Once we leave Montesano we will travel the Wynoochee Valley road for approximately 30 miles and try and locate the spot where a movie called Ring of Fire was filmed in 1961. During the filming of the movie they set an old railroad trestle and some passenger rail cars on fire and dropped them into the canyon. I haven't been there in 25 years so it should be interesting to see what is left. Then we will travel north to Wynoochee Dam and farther north to the falls. If time permits we can travel east toward Spider Lake and then to the High Steel Bridge in the Skokomish Valley. We can then hit Highway 101 north of Shelton and head home. The roads are paved and Forest Service gravel which shouldn't require 4x4 or high ground clearance, however there might be snow in the northern portion of the trip. -------------------------------------------- I hope some of you can make it. It should be a good time. If you are running late, my cell number is 253.370.0457. Steve

| Due to construction on the Wynoochee Road, we are going to change the meeting spot to the Shelton area. We will meet around 9:00-9:15 at the Taylor Towne exit on U.S 101 south of Shelton. Go west from Olympia and take 101 north to Shelton, after a few miles you will see a casino on the left, just past the casino the speed limit will slow to 50 at the Taylor Towne interchange (Lynch Rd) turn right and there will be a restaurant and gas station on your right. My cell is 253-370-0457. Steve
