Paul, the Farewell Bend State Park is very nice. It's right on the river and very grassy and refreshing. I've stopped in there for an Interstate break several times over the years.

Looks like the ad for Sunnyridge RV park in JV has tent sites. 541-586-2870

Hope this helps,

Mick

Thanks Mick, Farewell Bend looks nice and noticed the tent sites for Sunny Ridge, but after the 330 mile drive and a planned arrival late in the evening in Jordan Valley, we might just wuss out and spend the night in a hotel. . .

Dick, I think we're gonna aim for 10ish outta town. I think I'm meeting him at his apt in downtown but I'm sure we can stop and meet up with you someplace more convenient

Paul, myself and my Mom and also Casey will probably be camping on some BLM land in the area of exit 362. Not sure where we're gonna camp in the Jordan Valley area yet.

You can get the BLM maps at the BLM bookstore at 333 SW First ave in Portland.

For anybody who wants to travel east with us on Thursday, we should be at the Arco in Wood Village (not troutdale, take exit 16 and cross the freeway) at about 11:30. We'll be out of there about then so plan to be there then. If you're gonna join us, message me off list and I'll give you my phone number.

It's down to the last few hours before I'm outta here. But first I have to do a little off-roading, i.e. maneuvering my riding mower through some tall grass, in the morning then load up my bag and head for Oregon. I'll be staying with "weisergeiser" (our son-in-law) and our daughter in Meacham tomorrow night and should be able to access my email until Thursday morning. After a quick stop at a grocery store we'll head down the road to Ontario. See ya' all on Friday or Saturday.
