Default Overland Adventures 01.07

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to take several months or even a year off from work, pack up your vehicle and just travel the world? Unfortunately, such a trip is not an option for most of us, however, there are people who actually get to experience the world in this way. Here's a couple of vehicle dependent overland journeys that are currently in progress where you can follow along right at home.

Lone Wolf Transglobal Expedition 2007 will travel around the world through 33 countries in 12 months. Starting in the UK this month, the expedition will travel through Europe, the Middle East, China, Southeast Asia, the United States, Mexico, Central America, Central and Northern Africa and back to Europe. You'll also find some great information on how they set up their Land Rover Wolf Defender for the journey. Be sure to support their charitable sponsors which include MSF and the Project AWARE Foundation.

The Oasis of My Soul is the blog of Ara Gureghian. Join Ara and his dog Spirit on their dual sport motorcycle/side car adventures throughout the United States. Ara includes some great outdoor photographs on his site.

A couple of overland adventures that are now completed but offer great information include Expedition Overland and DuksJourney.

Thanks for posting these adventures, Steve. I had read about the Lone Wolf Expedition and found it very intriguing, however the others are new to me and were very enjoyable to read. Thanks again!
