    Quartz Mountain Backroads Run
    November 7, 2009

    Trail Boss: Ron Dunn

This is an AWORC members run open to street legal 4x4 rigs only.
All guest driving there own rigs must do by the Trail Etiquette rules.

Ron Dunn is putting on a club backroads run to Quartz Mountain.
The run begins in Ellensburg. Meet at McDonalds. Departure time is 10 AM.
We will convoy towards Quartz Mountain. Bring the family and sleds in case we find snow to play in. The summit of Quartz Mountain (6,400 feet) provides a terrific view of deep valleys, the North Cascades and beyond.

Please post if you are going so we know to look for you or not. CB Ch #7.

    Thanks, Ceg & Ron Dunn

Any chance some will be driving from Quartz Mountain to Kaner or Shoestring?

We do not plan on it since some of the rig will be stock.

That's cool. The drive to Quartz Mountain is great for SUV's and the scenery is fantastic. There is a little turnout on the way up with an overview of a lone mountain often covered with mountain goats. The first time I saw it I thought it was snow, but the snow was moving! Many other neat roads and trails in the area, too. We will try to be there.

Not that I know of. Manastash Campground and Riders Camp are both on our way if you want to camp. We could stop and get you.
