I put it on our calendar.
Those of us coming from the West side, might need to meet you near Rimrock Lake, instead of driving over and back, through Naches. Any ideas?![]()

CHRISTMAS TREE RUN
December 6, 2008
Join us on our Fifth Annual Christmas Tree Run, this year in conjunction with the All Wheelers Club. Our trek will take us to beautiful Rimrock Lake and we are hoping for just enough snow to set the stage. Your family SUV or 4x4 pickup should do the job nicely.
Enjoy beautiful scenery as we slowly caravan over forest roads, park in a clearing and trek through the woods in search of our special Christmas trees. The kids will love it and if the weather cooperates we are hoping to do some sledding, have a snowman contest and maybe have time for other events. This is what memories are made of so join us for a great time and a fun family activity.
If you come early for breakfast or coffee meet us at the Drift Inn Restaurant in Naches, Washington. The Drift Inn is located in the Texaco Station complex on US Hwy 12. After breakfast everyone will line up at the Ace Hardware parking lot, only a hundred yards from the restaurant. Departure time is 10:00 A.M. so those of us partaking of breakfast should try to finish by 9:45 allowing time to line up at the Ace Hardware lot. If you need a Christmas Tree Cutting Permit you can buy it at the Texaco Convenience Store or at Ace Hardware.
From Naches we will caravan west on U.S. Hwy 12 to Forest Service roads behind RimrockLake. Bring the family, a sled or two, gloves, warm clothes, a saw, rope for tying down the tree, snacks and a lunch. And if you don't need a tree no problem, come anyway; you won't be alone.
Look for our gray Jeep Wrangler with Backroad Drivers Northwest and All Wheelers decals and we will monitor C.B. channel 7.
We hope to see you there!

Regardless of our opinions (including mine), the Truth still exists.
Sure, that could work and there is a great little place about 16 miles from Naches. But, I would rather not speculate on the logistics before details are announced. I will be discussing the tree run with the All Wheeler guys and I expect a detailed announcement to be out no later than the first week in November.

This sounds like a great run. Maybe the the wife, kids and I will stay at the Ike Kinswa park on the way on Friday and meet on Saturday? My wife is really excited about this one. I'm going to hope for a little snow![]()

We sure look forward to you guys coming with us and you are welcome with open arms, but you should be aware that Ryan has mentioned he might lead a Christmas Tree Run closer to the McMinnville area. He posted the following in the "Snow Run" topic under the "Chit-Chat" section of this forum:So maybe Ryan will respond to this post. But, you folks are welcome to attend both tree runs or one or the other.Well my xmas tree run last year was essentially a snow run. My XJ group is already pushing for me to lead another one this year. Probably Dec13 towards Goat mtn. Last year we had 15 rigs.

I'm always look for an excuse to get our in the snow. We might come down Friday night and camp. Will wait to see how the logistics pan out before making the decision.

Good deal, Jon. You folks are most welcome. There are a zillion campsites available in the summer, but I don't know about in December. Might check the Naches Ranger District of the Wenatchee National Forest.
