Talked to the Ranger. NF-14 is a go. Its high clearance recommended and they've gotten it opened up from last years storms.

Default Nestucca

I came over the Nestucca last Sunday, lots of road construction. Hope they are not working on Saturdays or we may have some delays.

Do you know who was doing the construction or at least what county it was in?

Tour Announcement
Fall Colors of the Nestucca River and Mt Hebo
November 1st, 2008

It was only eight months ago that I lead a trip over the Nestucca
River. But as fall approached, I decided that a fall colors tour
would be a good idea and I knew from past experiences that the colors
were usually pretty goog along the Nestucca River.

Our tour will start off at the Dutch Bros in Newberg at the West
(yes West) end of town (http://tinyurl.com/49t744) Departure by 9am
so be there before then. We'll head west to Carlton then start
climbing up the hill, pausing or slowing occasionally to take
pictures. The road will put us out on the coast at Beaver, where we
will stop to eat lunch.

After lunch, we head south to Hebo and turn back east and drive to
the top of Mt Hebo for more pictures and enjoying the scenery (or
weather) The roads to this point are acceptable for all vehicles
except perhaps your low-riding sports cars.

From the top of Hebo, all 4x4/high clearance vehicles can continue
east on NF-14 to Bible Creek rd, which will eventually take us out to
Willamina, then back to town.

This trip will probably take the whole day and I predict us getting
back into town after dark (early evening).

Meeting time again is 9am at Dutch Bros at W 3rd and Hwy 99w at the
WEST end of Newberg. I'll be in my steel blue cherokee with the
Backroad Drivers sticker oh CH 22. Hope to see you there.

Contact Steve for the PNWAdventurers.com stickers and I still have several Backroad Drivers Northwest stickers available. PM me your name and address and I will send you a couple of the blue 3" wide x 3.5" tall stickers. The black 4" x 4" are better handed out personally due to damage in the mail.
