I've liked the S2000 ever since I found out that Vicki Butler-Henderson owns/drives one.

ON-Road Adventure vehicle

And things have recently changed in my life (got a new job!) so I MIGHT be able to join on this drive sans-wife. I'll need to do some heavy negotiations with her first, though (:

That would be great...not that you would be coming without your wife, but that you might make it on your own. Hope you can. And congratulations on your new job. Another life adventure.

Take it slow so you can soak up the scenery and check out the book 'Roadside Geology of Washington'!

Jerry, the X's are a go for Labor Day at Liberty (or is it Liberty Day at Labor?) But,,, I'm still thinking about this one

Wish I could join you guys at Liberty, but our son and granddaughter are visiting over the weekend and we don't get to see them very often.

Does Washington require OHV permits like Oregon does? Thanks!

First, you will not need a permit to run the Gallaher Head Lake trip. Assuming your vehicle is street legal and licensed you need nothing further.

I don't know about Oregon's ORV permits, but Washington does not require permits for 4x4's. Washington does require permits for ATV's and snowmobiles. All vehicles must be street legal and licensed while driving on designated roadways, but off-road rigs (Jeeps, etc) running designated 4x4 trails need not be street legal, but I don't know about needing a license. I don't think they do.

Great info. Thanks!! How long do you suppose it will take for Washington to catch up with Oregons permit program? Hmmmmmm.
