Jerry, I hope the new Jack Creek fire doesn't hamper this run. It looks awfully close to the Van Epps mine.

Yeah, I hope not, too. We have had to cancel this tour twice in the past few years because of wildfires and I would really be out of sorts if we had to do it again. In case that happens we will go to "Plan B", same kind of trails, just as much fun, but on the other side of the valley.

Same here. That's how we ended up in Liberty 2 years ago.

As is stands now, I am heading west to the Olympic Penninsula that weekend. As much as i enjoyed the Fortune Creek trail, I've been wanting to get to the Penninsula for a while and an opportunity presented itself.

Its just myself and one other rig, a scouting trip he says, high ground clearence with some washouts.

Have a great time. If our plans change, I may be joining you.

Unfortunately we will not be able to attend. We'd need to spend the night up there and my wife is doing an S2000 women's drive the next day. Now I'm just really looking forward to everyone's pictures (:

No problem, we can't do them all. Just keep us in mind while we are enjoying that pristine mountain scenery.
