Default Upcoming Tours

We have three great tours coming up within the next five weeks and we hope you can attend one or more of them. All three are educational, informative and scenic.

First is the Barlow Road Tour, next Saturday (a week after this coming), August 16th. We will be driving in the wagon ruts of Oregon Trail settlers. You should have received email tour announcements through Backroad Drivers and you can find posts for same in this forum.

Next is Tracking Ice Age Floods on September 6th, a guided tour of the aftermath of ice age floods through the Columbia Gorge. A tour announcement is coming soon.

And finally, a trek to Gallagher Head Lake on September 13th, an off-road adventure via easy 4x4 trails to the lake and what's left of old gold mines in the area. A tour announcement will be out next week.

We hope to see you at all three of these cool events!

any links for the Gallagher Head Lake drive? I'd like to find out a little more about this one. It sounds fun and the timing looks right.

It's in the Fortune Creek drainage 7 miles up the road from Salmon La Sac.

Check out the trail descriptions at Washington Trails Click on the trails listed under "Cle Elum Valley/Teanaway"; all are on the table for our tour.
