Hi Brian, it's good to see you on the forum as well as hearing from you. Congratulations on selling the YJ and on your new acquisition. My wife and I are also planning to do the Barlow Road and we are looking forward to seeing you guys.

Hey Brian, welcome to the forum. Nice to see another XJ owner on here. You're gonna make me sad that I'm not bringing mine on the trip

Default Trillium Lake

Dea and I will be staying site 17 on Friday night. We just reserved it. Is anyone else confirmed for that campground?

I plan on trying to snag a first come first serve! If anyone else could hold a site for me I will reimburse you when I get there. I am coming from Olympia, WA and can't get off of work early. Will be my first trip, really looking forward to it.

I will be heading up there, only problem is I don't know where it is. Can someone give me directions on how to get to camp site. I can save some spots. Mark

Trillium Lake it looks like, which is where we are going to try to get a First Come First Serve spot.

We have spot 17 at Trillium Lk Campground reserved for Friday night. I think we have the last campground that was able to take a reservation. All others are now first come first served. You can check out the web site www.recreation.gov Look for the campground you want to stay at and it will show you availability.

Extra credit:

If you are coming from Portland and can leave an hour early, try the Still Creek Rd. from Rhododendron to Trillium Lake/Hwy 26. The turn off is the first road to the right after the 1500' elevation sign between Zig Zag and Rhododendron. Paved two lane for a short ways then paved 1 lane until Mt Hood NF when it becomes a one lane gravel road with just enough pot holes to keep you alert.

Nice easy pretty drive.

I have one or two more rigs from our FJ club that would like to join us on this run. They were planning (unknown to me) on doing Barlow on the 16th anyway, so I just said hey come join us.... I hope it's ok!
