Changes to Backroad Drivers Northwest Events Calendar

High gas prices and other expenses have taken their toll on many of our usually active Backroad Drivers participants, including Evelyn and me. So much so that we cannot justify attending the longer, more expensive tours, and we are doing something about it.

As of now I have cancelled three high expense and/or multi-day tours that my wife and I were planning to host. We hope some of you will step forward and replace them with day trips closer to where you live, but we are prepared to fill in the slots with tours in the central Washington area if there are no volunteers. The cancelled trips and dates are as follows:

Aug 02, Obstruction Peak, Sequim, WA - CANCELLED
Aug 29, Steens Mountain, Burns, OR - CANCELLED
Sep 27, Imnaha Adventure, Enterprise, OR - CANCELLED

Perhaps some folks would like to continue with the above tours, and that's okay. Please feel free to take any or all of them over and set your own agendas, but I recommend securing the dates before they are replaced with day trips.

I hope these changes will make it a little easier for folks to attend the rest of the driving tours this year.
