Cool on the camping trip. Nice to get away from the 4 walls. Did you get any backroading in?

Sunday I went for my first drive of the year.

Nice day trip in the Oregon Coast Range. Beaverton to Alsea Falls via the Hull-Oaks sawmill then south on the Prairie Mtn. ridge road, Alsea, Marys Peak, back roads to the Buena Vista Ferry and home.

Any other runs going on within the next few weekends?
I have wanted to explore with you guys for a long time, and the one time i almost got to the ford explorer decided to mysteriously die.

I just finished rebuilding my Montero last weekend so i am working on mods on it, but its good to go , and would like to use it.

Didn't have a lot of time, but managed a few hours to run up the 70 road above Greenwater today. Was thinking about heading for Pyramid Pass, but in the name of making it back at a reasonable time staying out of the Naches would be best. So instead we headed up the 7030 road figuring that Greens Pass wasn't open yet, especially for a mostly stock F250. And I was right. We made it just before the last climb up to Windy Gap. Was thinking I would be doing good to make it up Windy Gap due to elevation and snow drifts from the wind anyways. After wondering around some we headed for Kelly Butte and that area. We had no problems making it as there was only a few small patches of snow in the ditch By then we were needing to head back.

Tried to do section 1 of WABDR. Too much snow and dead fall to finish the trip. Stayed the night off FS90 and came home through Cougar this morning.

Nice I'm super jelous. I still have yet to truly try the Monty out. I have taken it a bit through eastern Oregon but nothing major. I will have to see if I can dig up a few pics when I get back to my desktop.

How long does wbdar trail go?
