    Default Smooth, Paved Backroads

We sure do enjoy reading the trip reports no matter where they take us. We haven't been able to get out much the past couple of years so I guess we haven't posted our share, but it looks like things might change a little in that department this year. For the time being our trips will be mostly paved county and state roads with a few gravel sections thrown in for good measure. And with a LOT of help and good luck we might even have some neat pictures to share.

I'm sure there are other folks besides us who are looking for smooth riding "on road" backroads so maybe we can put together some easy-going backroads trips. Your suggestions would be most appreciated so please post up.

I sure will, Hutch, and we might find a good hamburger along the way.

Yeah, I'd like to try the BC place. I told Evelyn about it because we have stopped at the gas station and store several times over the years on our trips to NE Oregon, but have never eaten there.

I've already been thinking about some places to explore between our respective neighborhoods and will have to give you a call after our family picnic on Memorial Day. We are so busy cleaning and making everything ship-shape to impress the kids...as if they don't already know how we live?!!

Hi Phil, that sounds like a good idea. Our friend, Mick ("RidgeRunner"), arranged the two previous Scabland Tours. I haven't heard much from him since they moved to Idaho. If you are reading the forum, Mick, maybe you can lend a hand. Otherwise, Phil, we could look up the fellow's name from Wenatchee who led the first tour.
