Maybe a new thread for the Route 3 trip would work?

    Default OTO Team update!!

We been busy behind the scenes planning and working on getting everything up and going. We will be launching the website and our first episode of "One Lane Road". The first episode will be of our last trip from Diamond Lake to Suttle Lake and all the drama that ensued on our first team trip. We are also excited to be able to offer our route map of the trip for sale on our website. It will be KML (google earth) format but I have instructions on how to use it on your apple device that way you can follow our tracks on the trips we take. We will also have OTO gear for sale as well all proceeds will go to helping finance our trip east to Independence. Look for updates we will be launching september first.

We are taking our second team trip to the Oregon Dunes. If anyone is interested we still have seats available with our team and all are welcome to join. Hit me up if your interested.

Stay tuned for more info on OTO

Pretty interesting. I got a kick out of the washing machine tub fire pit. Haven't seen one of those for quite a while. .. .

Lol it started as a last minute idea and has become the staple of our overland evenings.

    Default OTO Update

Well just like many things people come and go things change and plans get updated. Our original plan was to take 6 people in 3 ford rangers east toward independence MO. Well we've refined our team down to a core of 4 guys and instead of 3 rangers the team just picked up a 91 Toyota Land Cruiser Fj80 and we have been working on our 1998 Ford Ranger. We are pretty excited about the changes and our looking forward to sharing the progress with everyone.

We could use a little help in the sponsorship area though. We have started putting together a plan to pursue sponsors to help us with the gear and support we'll need to actually get this expedition done. One of the things we have been talking about is rallying the overland community around what we are doing to make the OTO experience interactive and with the attention in turn we will have a better chance of getting those sponsors. The easiest and most direct way of doing this is Social Networks so if you guys are into what we are doing and wouldn't mind helping us out like us on Facebook and Instagram. We appreciate the support everyone had given us so far and look forward to sharing our experience along side of you.

It sounds to me like you have a solid handle on accepting change. Good for you and the group! I look forward to reading future posts.
