    Default Oregon Ghost Towns

    Hello All,

Over the past three years I've been working on a map of all Ghost Towns locations in Oregon.

I'm constantly updating this, each location has links to pictures if available, and more information about the location if known. If you look at the Google Earth version, towns are sorted out by Ghost Town Classification, which explains what type of buildings are at each location. In many cases there is nothing at the location, but that is the way it is after so many years. Any questions and comments are highly appreciated.

Good job. Lot's of hours went into this project. Might say that the two Google links above took me in circles, but the main title, "Ghost Towns Locations in Oregon", too me to a choice of Google Earth maps, one of which worked. Maybe it's just me or my slow computer, but that's the way it happened at this PC monitor. Thanks for posting!

    Great job.

I fixed the Google Maps link for you.

When are you starting the same project for Washington?

At my current rate of progress, somewhere between 3 and 5 years. I need to visit a few dozen locations here in Oregon first for pictures. I'm planning on hitting four of them next weekend.

If you want some pictures just let us know what town and I bet someone on this site may have some. Richard

Really cool map. I'll be bookmarking that on my phone for travels in the future.

Thank you for the offer. I do plan on writing a book based on this, and including the pictures so I'll need to take them myself.

It also means that I need to go out and actually visit places
