Default Rising Sun on Mt Rainier 09.29.2007

We just completed an early morning trip to Sunrise at Mt Rainier National Park to take photos of the sun rising on the mountain. We got lucky with clear skies, excellent lighting and fresh snow.

You can see the photos at Mt Rainier National Park Photos.

A short trip report is posted at Sunrise at Mt. Rainier National Park, Washington.

Terrific pics, Steve. Just like I was right there with you. I do love visiting Sunrise and your photos took me there without buying gas. Thanks.

Thumbs up Sunrise....

Hi Steve,

Your photos from Sunrise are tremendous. The clear sky, great light, and just enough snow combined for incredible conditions. I'm envious.

We were up there a few weeks earlier and hiked the Burley Mountains 1 & 2. It was pretty - but your shots are knockouts. Great work.
