Hike of the Week

[TheNewsTribune.com] HIKE DESCRIPTION: Olympic National Park is a large, seemingly sprawling park with multiple entrances and varied experiences. Spruce Railroad Trail is located in the park, offering a shore walk along a freshwater lake. This trail takes you through old-growth forest to lakeside vistas and follows a historic railroad grade, along the north shore of Lake Crescent. The railroad was used during World War I to transport Sitka spruce trees to Seattle and points east.
