10:22 a.m. -- Soldier Mountain backcountry to close to snowmobiles

[IdahoStatesman.com] FAIRFIELD -- Guided backcountry skiing will resume at Soldier Mountain Ski Area north of Fairfield, and as a result, about 1,500 acres west of the ski area will be closed to snowmobiles beginning Dec. 19.
