ORV TRAIL WATCH

http://www.orvtrailwatch.org/index.html

The newly formed "ORV Trail Watch" is a group of off road enthusiasts
who want to keep trails, recreational areas and campgrounds open to
the legal use of ORV's.

Clay Graham, organizer of the group, points out that many ORV
areas get bad press and are eventually closed due to uninformed or
irresponsible users who go off the designated trails; in some cases
making illegal or ghost trails, mudding meadows, cutting trees or
trespassing. Graham says these rule breakers are cutting their own
throats and cannot see past the fun. Their fifteen minutes of
irresponsible fun gives all ORV users a bad name.

ORV Trail Watch wants to help curtail illegal activities that are
detrimental to the environment and to the ORV hobby. They feel the
best way to help is to take pictures of the offenders and report them
to the authorities.

Once people know "ORV Trail Watch" is out taking pictures maybe
they will think twice and spread the word to their friends as well.

Trail Watch members will arm themselves with cameras and
conspicuously display a 4"x4" black and white decal depicting the
image of a camera on their vehicle. Once word of the program spreads
the decal alone should give notice to offenders.

We're all in this hobby together so if you would like more information
please email:

Default Arrogance - What will it take?

Please take a few moments to read an unbelievable example of what we are talking about with ORV Trail Watch. The following link takes you to an article at NWJeepn.com, one of many groups dedicated to enhancing the enjoyment of responsible off-road fun in the Pacific Northwest.

This is a brand new site and we are having web site issues with e-mail and for the sign up. We have tech working the problems.

I did get one e-mail last week and replied though the ORV Trail Watch web site. It came back three times to me so I did know if they got it or not. Sometimes this happen and the mail works. The techs are looking into why the mail is not working right. People can sign up on the forum but I don't have the agreement done on the sign up. Again waiting on the techs to find out why I can't edit the forum pages. As soon as I can edit the forum sign up, I will start spreading the word. There is an area you can add our name to if you sign up on the forum. We just wanted to have the agreement when people sign up on the forum so they can not say they did not know what they are signing up for. Everyone is welcome to sign up on the forum now but make sure you agree to this http://orvtrailwatch.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=11 and after you get on the forum post here: http://orvtrailwatch.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=18 to show you understand what you are signing up for.

Thanks, Clay

ABOUT ORV TRAIL WATCH
ORV Trail Watch is a group of off road enthusiasts who want to keep designated trails, motorized recreation areas and certain campgrounds open to ORVs. Many ORV areas receive bad press and are sometimes closed completely due to irresponsible users driving off designated trails, making their own illegal trails, mudding meadows, cutting trees, trespassing and generally creating a mess. Rule breakers are cutting their own throats because they cannot see past fifteen minutes of fun. And their irresponsible behavior gives all ORV users a bad name. We want to help put a stop to it and we feel the best way we can assist is by taking pictures and reporting the rule breakers. Once people know ORV Trail Watch is out taking pictures they may think twice and maybe spread the word to their friends as well.

Sign up and become a member to save the ORV areas
All you have to do to be a member is sign up on the ORV Trail Watch forum, then the official ORV Trail Watch member list, take pictures of rule breakers in the ORV areas and turn the pictures in to the ORV Trail Watch site or the local ORV Law Enforcement Officers. It is FREE to be a member.

It is time to police our own before all the ORV areas are closed. Sign up today!

Good news. We have 42 people now signed up on the ORV Trail Watch forum and 22 people who posted to be "OFFICIAL" ORV Trail Watch members. I hope more of you sign up. Once we have over 100 Offical ORV Trail Watch members we plan to contact the press and hope to get them to spread the word we are out there watching our trails to keep them open.

Cool. I've got my decals affixed and found a safe place for my camera. Great idea, Clay!
