Very cool site!

Here goes my introduction, We currently live in Sammamish Washington which is about 30 miles east of Seattle Washington. I have been into offroad adventures for the past 15 years and have owned several makes and models over the years. From a 1969 Nissan Patrol to a newer 1999 UZJ100 Land Cruiser. We are currently going through a land cruiser phase and own several. Some are listed below.

We own our own vintage 4x4 and hot rod shop where we do custom metal fabrication, expedition builds, and day to day maintainance, etc. If you are in the area and would like to stop by you are more than welcome.

I'm a native PNW born in Oregon and moved all over the PNW due to my father working for the telephone company (ma'bell). I have lived in several exotic locals like Salem Or, Bend Or, Pendleton Or, Moses Lake Wa, Yakima Wa, and Seattle Wa. I also have family in Sumpter Or, which is a very cool place to explore.

I look forward to meeting up with you and doing some exploring in the very near future.

Thanks,
Rodney and Kelli

Here are some rigs we use for exploring offroad

1967 FJ45 Land Cruiser

1979 FJ40 Land Cruiser

1982 HJ47 Land Cruiser Troop Carrier (my fav)

1997 FZJ80 Land Cruiser

Those are really neat rigs, Rodney. A very diverse a cool assortment. It appears you have done a lot of work to each of them and when you have time maybe you could give us some specs. I would like to stop by your shop one of these days and I also hope you can join us on future road trips.

Thanks! It looks like you are from Yaki-Vegas! I graduated from West Valley. I will post up some specs on each rig with some more pics later tonight in this thread. You are always welcome to stop by!

Nice cruisers. Be sure to plug your shop (name, location, phone number, etc).

And welcome to the forum.

Those are some of our favorite places to visit! We like Sumpter and have had several road trips to the area.

I will add my contact info. Have you ever been to Granite up near Sumpter? I'm in for a trip.

You bet. Granite is a neat little place. There are several photos of Granite on the BDNW photo page. We like to stop at a little cafe in the back of the Granite General Store. We have also toured Bourne, Whitney, Greenhorn and a couple of other local ghost towns as well as some old mines. We usually drive to Sumpter from Starkey, taking in the views along the Grand Ronde River and Vey Meadows before passing through Granite then on to Sumpter. Heading home we usually take the highway through Baker City.

My wife and I both lived in La Grande and we still have family in the area so that is frequently the starting point for our NE Oregon travels. I'm sure there will be many more driving tours to the Sumpter area and maybe your family can recommend some little known sights to see.

In case you are interested I have a list of roads we will eventually get around to driving, county roads west and south of Sumpter as well as some Forest Service roads that run between Ladd Canyon and Tony Vey Meadow north of Granite.

One of these days I would like to explore the Virtue Flat OHV Area near Baker City, but I sure don't want to go in there alone. Randy from Meacham and I would probably drive our Bronco II's so we couldn't get too carried away, but they are capable enough to make most of the trails. We would have to sit back and watch you do the rest!!!

You have a DAMN fine collection of Cruisers there man. Personal fav's are the Troupy and the 45/PU, those are so neat and remind me alot of a few of my farm trucks in Australia.
