Hello, my name is Tedge, for those trying to say it... the first "e" is long. Then you will have it.

I have searched all over the internet to find trails and FS roads to travel from and to several locations but have not had the best of luck. Maybee I am not looking in the right place. I keep finding where there are trails to drive but most seem you need a jeep or another serious vehicle that you do not care much about and should expect some sort of damage or breakage. Then I stumbled onto this site about a month ago. This is just what I was looking for. I think here I will get the oportunity to find the roads and drives I have ben searching for. That and meet other people with the same interests. I like to think of myself as the diverse offroader. I like the drives to remote areas to see something new and see where the road leads. Yet I also do like the tight trails with obsacles just as long as I do not dent or scratch the trucks paint.

As for the vehicle, I have a 2004 Chevy Colorado Z71. This truck was primarily bought to haul my ATV to the woods but was soon to find itself in for a transformation to do more than that. After owning the truck for almost a year now and taking it out off road exploring I have found many things that have needed to be done to prepare it for my needs. I will include these mods and such details about my truck in the appropriate forum section.

I hope to make it to this next weekends trip. I have gotten sataurday off just for it.

Hi, Tedge, and welcome to the forum! You are in the right place to learn about local Forest Service, BLM and DNR roads. We talk about 4x4 vehicles, but most of our driving is over fairly easy roads and trails. Usually all that is required is a little extra ground clearance afforded by a pickup or SUV.

We are going on the Mission Ridge run this weekend, too, so I am looking forward to meeting you.

It was great meeting you on the Mission Ridge run and especially out in the boonies as it was. It was a long haul for you guys and I'm glad we made connections. We hope you will join us on future road trips.
Jerry

Tedge,
We were glad you found us out on the Mission Ridge trail run. It was good to have you along for the last 1/3 of the drive. Hope you had a good time for the first part of the day also.

We will see you again soon.
