Ryan,
Evelyn and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and you did a fantastic job as trip leader and informing us of all the historic places. Thanks for the running narrative; most informative and appreciated. It was a great day!

Sorry for the delay
We started our trip at the Huckleberry Inn restaurant in Government
Camp. We started off with 14 rigs; 6 Jeeps (2 JK Wranglers 2 TJ's 1 XJ
(cherokee) and a SWEET CJ Scrambler) 2 Toyotas (a Tacoma & a 4Runner) an Astro van, a Bronco
II, an FJ Cruiser and a Dodge Dakota.
From Govy we drove down to Still Creek and after a few stops we were
finally on our way from the Trillium SnowPark. We drove east on hwy
26 then north on hwy 35 breifly until we hit the old hwy 35. From
there we got on the Barlow road aka NF-3530. We would follow that
road, which pretty much covers the Barlow Road clear out nearly to
Wamic. There was a section we had to bypass just east of the White
River due to a very large tree down blocking the road. We easily
enough made it around the blockage though we somehow made it onto a
section that according to the map is closed. I can see why, we
must've passed 100 trees that were down across the road and had
either been driven around or cut out. Once we got to the Rock Creek
resevoir turnoff we all went our seperate ways.
Back in the trees the temperature wasn't too bad, stayed mostly down
in the 80's but once we broke out into the open spaces twoards the
east end of the road the temps were definitely up over 100. Most of
the road was slightly rough, we classified it as either a rough road
or an easy 4x4 trail and everybody made it with no problems.
It was a great trip and I'm really glad we had such a fantastic
turnout and I'd like to thank everybody for coming.

My son Aaron and I had a great time too!
Besides the great narrative and just general fun running the trail, I was able to mark some of those more remote campsites on the GPS...we will definitely be returning to those![]()

Just a few, as I was too busy dodging all those friggin rocks. In some places it was like a dry riverbed!
I set up this page for some family members, but anyone is welcome to take a gander...

Here are a couple that I took. I will post some more later.
Had a lot of fun meeting and seeing everyone, also it was the Jk's first trip in the woods.. Oh, cascade pinstripeing too. Both nice write ups and all pics. Yeah, it's a lot bigger then my LJ was... But still doable... reminds me size wise of my old full size Bronco on the trail.
Again wished I could have vistied with more people as well. A really big group. It was very nice though, thanks a lot...! see you all soon.
Wrangler..
Sorry I missed this one. It was the one trip I really was interested in due to being part of the Oregon Trail, but it just wasn't in the cards. Maybe next time. Thanks for all the pictures......it looks like a great time!
A couple more
I really had a great time. Jen...survived.
I didn't take too many action shots. Here's a link to a little unedited slideshow. I'll try to post some videos later.

Great job with the trip Ryan. The after lunch section was really good.
Edit: if you click on "main" in upper right hand corner of photobucket slideshow, the fisrt three frames in the row are short videos. Funny how you can hear the AC blasting in the van.
