Hurricane Ridge to Obstruction Peak Aug. 8th

Just a quick FYI. Despite what the Olympic National Forest web site says, the road from the Hurricane Ridge Visitors Center Parking lot to Obstruction Peak is open and in good shape. The road up from Heart O' Hills is going to slow you down if you are on it during the busy time since they have it down to one lane in places with an automated signal to manage traffic.

Just drove this road last night to enjoy a quite late night drive and see if I could spot any bear wondering the road. No bear, lots of dear and an overcast night made for a nice meditative adventure.

The parking lot had a dozen or so vehicles at obstruction peak but still plenty of space to turn around.

If anyone is going up that way hope this helps.
