Thread: How dare I

  1. Tires and wheels arent big enough! LOL I have a little small landscape type trailer I am building into a camp hauler that converts into a kitchen. (will post when its underway) I flipped the axle and springs to a spring over and am putting the tires and wheels I took off my Xj on it! Should gain about 7-8 inches more clearence, and ride smoother. Kewl looking little trailer guy!
Anything you do in the great outdoors, CANT be ALL bad!
As long as you can do it in the back country!

  2. I thought about the tires being to small, but I didn't intend for this trailer to follow me through trials just to campsites and up hunting where the worst it will see is unimproved logging roads.
Also if I don't include everything I already had or new tools I bought I am only in for less than $600 so-far. I already had the Harbor Freight frame from a kayak trailer I built and no longer used, so if the tires turn out to small after some time down the road I will find a better Axel and fit it to the frame.

This is the first time I have built anything like this, and I am sure it wont be the last, as I am thinking about other designs already.

Thanks for the complement, and opinion though

I may not know where I am going, but I am NOT lost.
