Default I got my old 88' Bronco back.

Before I started buying Jeeps in 06' I was a devoted Broncos owner... 78' w/38's 83'351HO w/35's And the last Bronco I owned in 2006. is now back in my hands, it's an 88' Full Size Bronco Custom model with a factory 300 six EFI :-)
It's also got a manual FIVE speed trans as well. These were pretty hard to find even years ago. They even got reasonable trail mileage as well, and with a 33 gallon fuel tank these things could cover a lot of ground before returning to the hanger so to speak...
I broke my wrist in November and I had some time to look at what I was doing and wanted to do as far as getting out... So I decided that my Jeep was great but I wanted to return to what started it all for me.. Camping with a FULL size Bronco. With a 104" wheelbase it's great for me. It still has the 35" BFG AT's I put on it as well. I might go to 33's next. It's in good shape still for being 24 years old..
I look forward to doing some explorations with the Bronco come this spring. Like Hutch, I'm returning home so to speak... ;-)

    Happy Trails..

I think we are tied..lol Actually I sold my last Jeep to my brother and he gave me back the Bronco in trade.. worked out great for both of us knowing the history of each rig too.

I guess my first project on the Bronco was installing Aerostar front seats.. They sit up higher then any stock seats made and our quite comfortable and supportive compared to the low back vinyl's that came with the "Custom" model. If I find some 92-96 High backs in blue I might get them as the Aerostar buckets do not fold forward although I have the tilt forward passenger side they only go so far before the top of the seat hits the roof limiting it's travel. But I do not usually have a back seat in it anyways.. I'll get pics up soon of the interior today.

Update... On the drivetrain, I'm now running a TrueTrac front, and ARB rear now with 4.88 gears.. Initial feeling? I like it of course.
btw, my OD in 5th gear is .79... More to come as time permits..

I just reread the first post and realize it had a 300 six and a 5 speed. 6 in a row really can go you know!

I thought a pic of my Bronco when I took it on the trail for the first time with some friends would be a good start up here..

    We were at TSF..
