Almost done! just needs a few more things fitted and welded up before its ready for paint! WOOHOO.
Stay tuned for a very detailed set of pics on the project. it should be completed by this next fri or sat. Cant wait to get it done and get a chance to go test it out. It will get a royal workout on the memorial day trip over in the eburg/vantage area.
It will be a complete camp kitchen with on board propane, running water maybe a 12 volt battery system for lights etc. The framing is set up so that any attachments that work with a Yakima rack system will work on it.
As well as the basic haul all our camp gear any where the XJ will pull it! Its got the tires that came on my XJ on it already. I have raised the deck hight by about 12 inches and beefed it up just about every place I can find to do so.
STAY TUNED! LOL

9:45pm and I just got in from working on it! its a LOTTA work. I hope to have it all done and painted by sat night. If I do, Ill take some pics and post them up on sunday. I am spending extra time trying to make it snag proof on the wiring and on most all other frame parts too, so that when it goes down nasty trails behind the XJ, it will arive at the desired destination in the same condition it started! A full day tomarrow and sat and we should be DONE!

I NEED a coupler with LOTS of articulation! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I still am going to make my own out of drive shaft yokes and U-joints. wont be street legal, but Ill still have the ball coupler for when I need it on the street.

I've had mine offroad a little but haven't been on anything that challenged the trailer/coupler. So far I haven't had any problems with it, I think mine is long enough that I don't think I would drag the rear of the trailer before the hitch became a problem going up and down. Side to side twisting I think about 20 or 30% would be about it before it bound. Just guessing.
