FR26 is open from the north side all the way to the trees blocking the road that you see in the photos.
From the south, there is a "Road Closed" sign 2-3 miles in. We drove past that out of curiosity. A bit further down the road, we found two concrete Jersey barriers blocking the road - but - someone had dragged one of them off to the side. Again, curiosity prevailed and we moved on.
Eventually, we came to a complete washout of the road. Someone had already started a path around the washout. We followed that without mishap. A short while later we encountered the trees. Once over those, we were home free......
So if you have 4 wheel drive and decent clearance (I'm in a stock 2007 Wrangler JK Sahara), you can make it.
