Just a few weeks ago I was up I-90 exploring around and found that if you take exit 40 (Tinkham Rd) and drive Tinkham Road for about 5 miles east. Turn right on NFD 5510 RD and it will take you up under one of the Iron Horse Railway trestles and continue UP for quite a long ways. Eventually you will be on NFD 430 RD ascending quite nicely. The road ends at about 3000ft (according to my topo?) so the views are really quite nice. We had a great lunch on top and then headed lower and explored some other roads that were typically shorter but fun just to explore!

For me living in the Renton/Issaquah area it's just one of places so easy to escape to on a Sunday afternoon or???
