I know what you are feeling about wanting to get away. Unfortunately our heavy snowfall this year has put a damper on driving much off-road. There is still 5' of snow in some of the campgrounds. I heard most of the campgrounds on the east side of White Pass (Rimrock Lake area) are open and you can drive Forest Service roads until they become blocked by snow. Most of the 4x4 trails are fairly high in elevation and are still clogged up with snow. I would suggest calling the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie, the Olympic, Gifford-Pinchot and/or Wenatchee National Forests for campground information. Have a great weekend!
