Let me introduce myself, my name is Steve. I'm the site webmaster, as well as writer, editor and photographer. I make my home in Washington state. By trade, I'm a professional firefighter. My passion is getting off the main highways and exploring the areas that most people never see. Sometimes it requires a four wheel drive vehicle and other times not. I enjoy expedition-style overland adventure travel, camping, hiking, photography and pretty much anything else outdoors. I'm not a professional writer. I write as I think. Hopefully most of it makes sense. I may ramble on at times. With practice I may get better at writing. See you on the trails.
