Working in the Transportation industry, I've been able to hit a lot of these areas in my profession. So, excellent writeup, and even learned a few things about some of the areas I haven't hit. Here's an FYI about the "Clearwater Cutoff" (Olympic Corrections Center, Coastal Bypass). There's nothing really amazing out that way. You're right at the foothills of the Olympics and it's quite unremarkable. No panoramic vistas, a few clearcuts, a few unmaintained campgrounds, a prison, and a couple small towns (very small). If someone can only choose one route, you're MUCH better served staying on US101 and seeing Kalaloch. Hey bro, out here in Grays Harbor.
